Recovering a glass house with the DrainAway™ Greenhouse Re-Covering System
Illustration showing layout of componentsIf your existing greenhouse is covered with glass, you've probably spent more time than you ever wanted to on maintanance and repairs. And with some of the older houses, it's sometimes difficult to even find replacement materials.

Now you can say goodbye to wasted time and energy by re-covering your glass house with DynaGlas Plus corrugated polycarbonate using the DrainAway Re-covering System.

The DrainAway System has been specially engineered to adapt DynaGlas Plus to virtually any type of greenhouse --- including old wood glass houses. What's more, DrainAway components are made of extruded aluminum, so water damage and dry rot become a thing of the past! And there isn't any other system that compares to DrainAway when it comes to collection and drainage of condensation.

Check out the installation example below to get an idea of what kind of difference re-covering with DynaGlas can make.

Fred Teufel of Oregon Roses in Forest Grove, Oregon renovated his decades-old Thompson-Built glass greenhouses using the DrainAway Greenhouse Re-Covering System. At left is a photograph of what the greenhouses looked like prior to reglazing with DynaGlas using the Drainaway System.

Oregon Roses' Thompson-Built glass houses required substantial maintenance. It also allowed far too much infiltration to be energy efficient.

What's more, with so much algae growth on the rafters, light transmission was way below optimum levels.

After the job is complete, Fred's greenhouses are tight, dry, and full of light.

DynaGlas Plus is virtually maintenance free, offers the highest impact resistance available, is virtually self-extinguishing when exposed to flame, and provides the highest light transmission of any type of glazing.

The DrainAway System provides a very positive attachment of the panels to the structure, while also providing complete built-in condensation collection and removal.

While we can't offer a solution for every glass structure ever designed, we do have re-covering solutions for most glass structures built over the last 75 years.
